“Go Away, Mama!” screams a little girl to her exasperated mom. And so it begins. The complex relationship between a mama and her daughter.

"My darling girl, you can’t push me away. No matter what, I’m here to stay."

We follow mama and daughter as they navigate the highs and lows of life’s milestones together—from teenage rebellion to leaving for college to starting a family. Along the way, we watch as this strong-willed daughter and her devoted mama learn just how deep and incredible the bond of a parent and child is, despite the physical or emotional distance between them. Most importantly, we discover together what it means to love fiercely and without hesitation.

Chelsea Fadden

Chelsea Fadden is a children’s book author from Maple Grove, Minnesota. When she’s not writing, she spends her days as a consultant helping lead companies through complex changes. Chelsea has worked at a variety of Fortune 500 companies and public relations agencies. An Iowa native, she graduated from Iowa State University, receiving her bachelor of arts in Journalism & Mass Communication. Chelsea’s communication skills—and let’s be honest, her patience—are most often tested at home, which she shares with her amazingly supportive husband Vince and their two irresistibly cute small children.

Eleonore Sebastian

Eleonore Sebastian received a BFA in Illustration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and has been working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for nearly five years. Her bright, playful style lends itself well to younger audiences, but she hopes that viewers of all ages find joy in her work. Adding silly details and hidden treasures in each and every page has become her favorite part of illustrating. Eleonore has been featured in several publications, including the Loft Literary Center’s Youth Course Catalog, but she is thrilled to have Go Away, Mama! as her first published children’s book. She has recently returned to her home state of Minnesota and is excited to settle down in the Twin Cities area with her husband. To see more of her work, visit ewsebastian.wordpress.com.
