On The Subway is a book of poetry written by Kurt Boone - a New York City messenger - while riding on MTA, the largest subway system in the world. As a messenger, Kurt rode all 22 major subway lines every week. While on the subway, he wrote original poems to pass the time and record his thoughts. On The Subway is an adventure into the world of a subway rider.

Kurt Boone has written over 350 poems. He's been noted in the New York Daily News, Newsday, ABC TV, McCreary Report, QBR, New York Amsterdam News, and the New York Times. A former marketing representative for the Harlem Book Fair, Kurt published his first collection of poetry entitled Looking For Myself in 1996. His other books include Inside Grand Central Terminal and is the co-author of New York Alleycats (with photography by Amy Bolger) and Urban Theory: Critical Thoughts In America by Noreen Mallory. Most recently, he launched Kurt Boone Signature Messenger Bags with Seagull Bags.
